1. Introduction

RoutineLab places great importance on your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how data is handled when using the RoutineLab Timer app.

RoutineLab operates in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3. No data collection

RoutineLab Timer is designed so that no personal data is collected or processed. Using the app is:

  • fully anonymous and does not collect personal data;
  • contains no advertising;
  • shares no data with third parties;
  • does not use proprietary cloud storage or external servers to store your routines. All user data remains local on your device (see note);
  • does not use analytics, trackers or external SDKs for data collection, except for the required Google Play interface for in-app purchases (see section 3.1).

Note: if “Android Backup” is enabled on your device, Google may create a backup of this local app data in your personal Google Drive environment. RoutineLab has no access to these backups.

3.1 Google Play ecosystem

RoutineLab Timer itself does not use analytics, trackers, or external SDKs for marketing purposes. The app operates within the Google Play ecosystem, where Google may collect standard system information for the technical functioning of the Play Store and payment processing.

4. Local data storage

All data you enter in the app, such as routines, templates, and preferences, is stored solely on your device.

RoutineLab has no access to this data and cannot view, manage, or restore it.

5. Export and import of routines

When you export a routine, it is stored as an interchangeable PDF file.

An export contains only the selected routine and any optional metadata fields added by the user, such as Title, Description, Category, Tags, Author, and Language. No other personal data is included.

Any further use, sharing, or security of these files is the responsibility of the user.

6. In-app purchases and Google Play Billing

RoutineLab Timer offers a one-time premium upgrade. All transactions are securely processed through Google Play Billing.

  • Payment data: we do not access or store personal financial data (such as credit card numbers or bank details).
  • Transaction identifiers: to confirm the purchase and link premium features to the correct account, we receive a unique transaction ID and a Google Account Identifier from Google. This information enables us to manage your premium status and restore it after a reinstall.

7. Children and privacy

The app complies with applicable laws and regulations regarding the protection of minors, including:

  • the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – EU);
  • the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA – US, where applicable);
  • the Google Families Policy .

8. Data security

Because RoutineLab does not collect personal data and does not use external data storage, safeguarding the data depends entirely on the security of the user’s own device.

RoutineLab advises users to secure their device appropriately, for example with a passcode, biometric protection, and up-to-date software.

9. Data sharing

RoutineLab does not provide data to third parties, because no personal data is collected, stored, or processed.

10. Your rights

Since RoutineLab does not process personal data, rights such as access, rectification, and erasure do not apply in practice.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

RoutineLab may change this Privacy Policy. The most current version is always available through a link in the app. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
